The Pavlova is thought to have been created in honour of the ballerina Anna Pavlova following one of her tours of Australia and New Zealand in the 1920's!

Enjoyed as a dessert at Christmas time in New Zealand and Australia, I think this design pays a nice homage to both the dish and its origins!

The Ballerinas tutu is made of meringue topped with cream, kiwi slices, strawberry's and blueberries!
