Hanami is the centuries old Japanese practice of enjoying and viewing flowers. The term Hanami translates to flower viewing, and while not specified is almost always used in reference to Cherry Blossoms (Sakura).
The Cherry Blossom flowers typically only last one to two weeks and during this time people will be found having picnics and parties beneath the blossoms
This piece features a Tanuki, Kappa and Kitsune enjoying a host of treats beneath Cherry Blossoms, Sakura Lanterns and falling petals.
Their picnic comes complete with Ebi Shrimp, a Sushi Platter, Hanami Dango and Strawberry Sando. I've also added a cute little pink radio and a cooler!
Necklace measures 16.5cm by 9.5cm
This necklace features a variety of handcasted swirled, glitter, pastel and clear acrylics as well as cherry wood details.
