Alebrije are a type of Mexican folk art, they're intricately detailed and colorful sculptures made from mostly either Oaxacan Opal wood or paper mache! Alebrije originally depicted chimeras or a combination of different animals fused together, however it's not uncommon to see regular animals presented in this style!
